Functional neuroimaging
EEG/LFP and spiking, fMRI
We explore the neural signatures of cognition and behavior using multimodal imaging approaches, ranging from rodent/monkey spikes, LFPs to human EEG/MEG, and fMRI. By bridging species and methodologies, our work aims to uncover how prefrontal networks and oscillatory dynamics, particularly theta rhythms, orchestrate self-oriented and goal-directed behaviors.

Behavioral neuroscience
Psychophysics, Behavioral modeling, Machine learning
We combine rigorous behavioral paradigms with computational modeling and machine learning to probe the neural basis of decision making, social interaction, and emotional regulation. From rodents to primates, we seek to identify the fundamental principles that shape adaptive and maladaptive behaviors across species.

Neuromodulation / Brain stimulation
tACS/tDCS, TMS, Optogenetics
We employ state-of-the-art brain stimulation techniques—including tACS, tDCS, TMS, and optogenetics—to causally test how oscillatory activity shapes cognition and behavior. By integrating closed-loop stimulation with real-time neural decoding, we aim to move beyond correlation and reveal the mechanisms by which neural rhythms drive perception, memory, and action.
